Accessibility at Outclix

An inclusive directory has to be inclusive in every sense. We built Outclix to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.

What we included

Outclix targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility baseline across the directory, maps, calendars, and account areas. In practice, that includes:

  • Sufficient color contrast for text and interactive controls
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators and logical tab order
  • Status badges that never rely on color alone — every badge pairs color with an icon and text label
  • A text-based accessible legend accompanying the color-coded map
  • Descriptive labels on icon-only buttons for screen readers
  • Reduced-motion support that honors your system preference
  • Responsive layouts with touch-friendly targets on mobile

Using Outclix with assistive technology

The directory can be navigated entirely by keyboard. Search filters, the events calendar, and forms use semantic markup and ARIA attributes so screen readers announce state changes. If a map view doesn't work for you, every result is also available in the list view with the same information.

Accessibility information on listings

Business owners can document accessibility features on their listings — such as wheelchair access — and consumers can filter search results to show businesses that have provided accessibility information. Look for the "Accessibility info provided" filter on the search page.

Help us improve

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a checkbox. If you encounter a barrier anywhere on Outclix, please tell us — reports of accessibility issues are treated with the same priority as safety reports, and we will work to resolve them promptly.

Questions or concerns?

We're here to help. Reach out through the contact form on any business listing, or use the report tools built into every listing and event page. You can also manage your account and communication preferences anytime from your account settings.
